I pretty well have all the consoles connected up through two TVs and multiple HDMI/AV switchboxes (had to create a chart on how to get each one working, the cabling behind is awesomely awful so it’s hard to work out what go’s where). I’m running short on space now, but there are still a few of the more ‘common’ consoles/add-ons that I’m on the look for, so if you are looking to get rid of one of the below for cheap (or free 🙂 ) then shoot me an e-mail.
- Intellivision – Hard to find in Australia for some reason, even though I had a few friends as a kid who had them
- Sega 32x – PAL versions with all cables are hard to come across, and not cheap
- Sega MegaCD – These are reasonably common, but I can’t justify the expense at the moment
- Sega GameGear – Preferably looking for one with the Capacitors already replaced, you don’t want to see me attempt to solder something. I tried to solder an e-bay AV mod kit in an Atari 7800 and destroyed the console, when the e-bay seller (very nice guy) asked for a picture because it’s nigh on impossible to screw it up, I could feel the stunned silence from over the pacific. I really did a number on it
- Atari Lynx – I had one when I was younger, but got rid of it because of the 15 minutes you get with 6 million batteries shoved in the back, though these days with rechargeable batteries it’s not so much an issue
